Curriculum

We strive to work as partners with families to provide a safe, healthy,
fun-loving Christian environment that is intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically stimulating for each individual child. We believe this goal is accomplished by using developmentally appropriate practices through child-centered and teacher guided play and exploration.  For children to grow and learn they must first be surrounded by love and respect. Playing is learning!

Allowing freedom within clear limits, each child is given the opportunity to grow and develop to his or her individual full potential that strongly supports a strong sense of self.
We give our best effort to be a positive role model that instills Christian values that will help your child through the journey of life. We use hands-on stories and activities that teach each child the fundamental concepts of the beautiful diverse world God created!  There is so much for children to learn, yet so much for them to offer!

Our Church Family

Our Program

PSCP consists of three small classes: one for older 2s and young 3s (8:1), one Pre-K class for older 3s and young 4s (10:1), and a second Pre-K class of older 4s and 5s (10:1). Our Pre-K classes both utilize Heggerty’s “Learning Without Tears” curriculum and undergo PALS assessments twice a year. Rest assured our graduates leave confident in their abilities and ready to move on to kindergarten! We pride ourselves on our small class sizes and low teacher to student ratios.

Policies

We take the the responsibility of having your children be part of our preschool family seriously. Please read our list of policies that we have put in place to protect the rights and respect of our children, their families and our preschool.

Philosophy

We encourage families of all faiths, ethnicities and socio-economic backgrounds to join us. As a Christian preschool, our program is rooted in the belief that God created each of us as a beautiful, unique expression of His love, and as such, everyone has something to contribute to our community. We base our religious education on the teachings of Jesus Christ, presented in a loving and engaging way. We welcome diversity and encourage families to share their faith and cultural tradition with us.
